Here's the platform behind those numbers: the Social Development Platform (SDP), a unified system you'd be building for Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. You'd be working on something that brings together services from 11 separate platforms into one seamless experience, powering 100+ e-services and completing more than 3 million user requests every year.

SDP runs as a distributed, cloud native system built to handle over 10,000 concurrent citizen sessions at peak hours without service degradation. Bringing together 11 legacy platforms meant designing an integration layer that keeps real time data consistent across every one of them, including a live connection to the Ministry of Health's own systems. At national government scale, uptime isn't a nice to have. It's the difference between someone getting help and someone giving up and making the trip in person anyway.

One of the clearest examples of what you'd actually be shaping: SDP's support for citizens with disabilities. Through the ministry's Comprehensive Disability Assessment initiative, the platform delivers a Functional Assessment service that classifies citizens based on their skills to support real integration and placement in society. Citizens register their social record, and the system automatically applies on their behalf. No paperwork, no separate trip to start the process. An online appointment system lets them meet evaluators virtually instead of traveling to a physical branch, and the assessment connects directly with the Ministry of Health, cutting out paper based submissions entirely. For many citizens with disabilities, you'd be turning a process that once meant time, travel, and paperwork into something accessible from home.

That kind of access didn't happen by accident. As Kareem Omar, one of our engineers behind SDP's disability evaluation service, explains:

"I worked on the appointment booking flow for the disability evaluation service. A business rule blocked booking if a beneficiary didn't have an email address, and when I checked the numbers, close to 80% of beneficiaries didn't have one, meaning most of the people who needed the service couldn't actually use it. I found a way to customize the WebEx meeting setup so guests could join without an account, then made email optional. Since the change, bookings have gone through smoothly for beneficiaries without an email."
