Saudi Telecom Company is the Kingdom's leading telecommunications provider and one of the region's most significant digital enterprises. With a workforce operating across multiple locations and business units, keeping employees informed, aligned, and connected is not a communications challenge, it is an organizational one.
When STC needed a platform that could bring its people together, centralize company knowledge, and make internal communication work at scale, Sumerge built it.
Challenge
For employees at STC, finding the information they needed to do their jobs was harder than it should have been. Company policies lived in different places. Internal documents were scattered. News and updates from management did not reach everyone consistently, and when they did, there was no structured channel for employees to respond or engage.
For new joiners, the onboarding experience reflected the same fragmentation. There was no single place to learn how the company worked, what was expected, or where to go for answers. Getting up to speed required asking the right people rather than finding the right information.
For management, the absence of a unified platform meant limited visibility into employee sentiment and no reliable mechanism for two-way communication at scale. Collaboration between teams was left to informal channels that varied in quality and reach across the organization.

Solution
Sumerge built a Knowledge Management Portal that gave STC a single, centralized environment for internal communication, knowledge sharing, and employee engagement.
The work began with a thorough business analysis and requirements gathering process, ensuring the platform was built around how STC's employees actually work not a generic template applied to a complex organization.
The portal brought all company knowledge into one place: policies, FAQs, internal documents, and guidelines. Employees can find what they need without asking around. Management can publish updates, news, and announcements directly to the workforce, with confidence that the message reaches everyone through the same channel.
The platform also gave employees a voice. Surveys, polls, comments, and ratings sections created structured ways for the organization to hear from its people and act on what they share. Social and cultural touchpoints, team events, employee birthdays, prayer timings, internal stories were brought into the same environment, reinforcing a sense of belonging across a large, distributed workforce.
For new employees, the portal made onboarding significantly simpler. Everything they needed to understand the company, its values, and how to navigate day one was in one accessible place
