Sumerge has just signed the contract with the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in Ghana, to implement both the Enterprise Content Management and Business Process Automation solutions to allow them to automate their citizen services processes, archive all documents and consequently better serve their residents. Sumerge will work on automating 20 e-forms including barcode recognition for each one. The Archiving and Content Management solutions will make all documents available for access from any of the 52 branches with only a click of a button. Sumerge’s solutions will adopt IBM FileNet, IBM Forms as well as IBM Datacap technologies for the execution of this project.

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is a statutory Public Trust that is charged with the administration of Ghana’s National Pension Scheme and its primary responsibility is to replace part of the lost income that people face due to old age and invalidity, and also the payment of survivors’ benefits to deceased dependents. They have 52 branches across the country and their vision is to be the model for the administration of Social Protection Schemes in Africa and beyond as well as provide income security for workers in Ghana through excellent business practices.
