First of its Kind Implementation with EBank

Building on our previous article on EBank’s digital transformation journey, we are pleased to announce a first-of-its-kind implementation within the Middle East and Africa region. The dedication and collaboration between both teams enabled Sumerge and EBank to achieve a major milestone in support of EBank’s transformation goals.
Using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for Kubernetes container orchestration, Ebank successfully launched the first private cloud operated at scale by a bank in Egypt. This enabled EBank to run multiple workloads on the same cluster while managing three main microservices-based systems.
As a result, banking transfers were accelerated by 80%, reducing processing time from 10 minutes to 2 minutes. In addition, interbank transfers were significantly enhanced, improving performance from 4 minutes per transfer to 50 million transfers per minute.
